Restart Grants - Important Update Information

HPBC has launched the ‘Mandatory Restart Grant' in line with Government guidance, this is payable to businesses who are liable for Business Rates AND operate in the non-essential retail, personal care, hospitality, accommodation or leisure sectors.

The grant payments awarded are set out below:

HPBC has emailed those businesses who have already received a mandatory grant since November 2020 and who appear to be eligible to request a short application form to be completed (as additional information is required by Government).

Any business who did not receive a mandatory grant since November 2020 AND operate in non-essential retail, personal care, hospitality, accommodation or leisure sectors AND are liable for Business Rates should apply using the application form on the Council’s website.

If you are not in the HPBC area, please check your local council website for their registration process.

HPBC will also be launching a Discretionary Restart Grant for those businesses in eligible sectors who have received a discretionary or hardship grant since November 2020. HPBC will directly email those businesses they consider to be eligible and include further information on their website shortly.
