The High Peak Independent Film Festival is a non-for-profit film festival that celebrates shorts and feature films from filmmakers, of all ages, around the world. It aims to showcase the best of up and coming, independent filmmakers across four fantastic days. The aim is to provide a programme which showcases the very best of international and national independent film.

In it's inaugural year, it showcased 51 films and 4 events across three and a half days at New Mills Art Theatre and across the town of New Mills. In its second year, it aims to grow and have more events.
